Fife led twice through Steven Lynch and Marc Fowley, but Callum Watson brought the sides level before Warriors took the lead for the first time courtesy of a Ritchie Thornton powerplay goal.

Paul Windridge extend the lead but the visitors replied through Steven Gunn. Shaun Kippin , Ryan Sample and Peter Zajac put Whitley in command – meaning Thomas Muir’s late reply was in vain.

WHITLEY SCORERS: Watson 2+1, Kippin 1+2, R Thornton 1+1, Sample, Zajac & Windridge 1+0, Good & Reynolds 0+2, Bucas 0+1.
