WHITLEY Warriors ended the English National League North season with a hard-fought win away to likely runners up Nottingham, and are the first side to go the entire season without losing a game.

The Lions roarded into a two-goal lead but the Warriors fought back, Adam Reynolds reduced the deficit.

Callum Watson levelled a minute later, with Adam Robinson scoring against his old club at 38:14 to put Whitley ahead for the first time.

But it was the visitors who were left trailing at the second break, as Lions scored two quick goals.

However, it was Whitley who made all the running in the final session as they hardly gave the Lions time to think and two unanswered goals gave them the win.

l NORTHERN Stars completed their English National Ice Hockey League North and Northern League fixtures with a 3-3 draw at Blackburn Hawks.
