Netball awards presentation held in Cramlington

NORTHUMBERLAND County Netball Association held their AGM and Presentation evening at Concordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington last Tuesday where the division winners received their trophies.

NORTHUMBERLAND County Netball Association held their AGM and Presentation evening at Concordia Leisure Centre, Cramlington last Tuesday where the division winners received their trophies.

The results are as follows for the winners of each division.

Winter League 2010/11: Division 1 - Astley A, Division 2 - Hexham A, Division 3 - Seaton Burn B, Division 4 - Amble C

Summer League 2011: Division 1 - Prudhoe A, Division 2 - Wansbeck A, Divsion 3 - Wansbeck B, Division 4 - Prudhoe C, Division 5 - Croftway B

Hexham A won the Anne Stephenson Award for best defence in the Winter League and The Old Ship Shield went to Croftway B for best defence in the Summer League.

The Juniors were awarded at the start of the evening.

Trophies and medals were presented to the following winners:-

High 5s - Wansbeck A, U13s - Ponteland A, U15s - Ponteland B.

The individual awards went to Sarah Williams, Hexham Netball for Senior Player; Erin Younger, Astley Junior Netball for Junior Player; Coach of the Year went to Jolene Byers, Ponteland Junior Netball; and finally Chris Little, Prudhoe Netball, was awarded Volunteer of the Year.
