AFTER the success of last year’s event, 39th Regiment Royal Artillery is to hold its second Annual Charity Golf Day in aid of HELP FOR HEROES.
The event will take place on Friday July 23 at Matfen Hall Golf Club in Northumberland.
The charity Help for Heroes was launched in October 2007 in response to the desire of ordinary people to do something practical to help wounded servicemen and women.
Organisers believe that as individuals we are powerless to prevent war and feel helpless at being unable to stop our men and women from being killed and wounded. By joining together as Help for Heroes they feel they are doing something practical to help.
The day will consist of tea/coffee and a bacon sandwich on arrival, 18 holes of golf (Stableford scoring) and a three-course meal on completion.
There are numerous prizes that have been donated by companies. There is also a raffle with all monies raised going to the Help for Heroes charity.
The cost per individual is £42, which includes a small donation to the charity.
Cheques should be made payable to: Central Bank 39 Regt RA, and entries including names, handicaps and all club membership details should be made no later than Friday, July 16.
