The annual Printers Coast golf day at Seahouses Golf Club in Northumberland raised the magnificent sum of £3,600 for local good causes. Although the weather on the day of the event last summer was pretty dismal, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the competitors who pulled out all the stops to raise such a great amount.

The competition was played over a shortened course due to the adverse weather conditions and followed by an enjoyable reception in the clubhouse.

The money was split between First Responders, who received £600, the Great North Air Ambulance, which was given £2,000, while the remaining £1,000 went to the Seahouses Golf Club Development Fund.

The three cheques were recently handed over a special ceremony at the golf club.

First Responders also received an additional cheque from Brenda Stevens, the Seahouses ladies captain, from monies raised through different ladies section events throughout the year, including a sponsored slim by lady member Angela Smith.

Seahouses Golf Club and all the recipients of these charitable donations would like to thank Dave Osborn and his team for their generous donations and look forward to seeing them again in September 2009.

The cheques were handed over by Dave Osborn of Printers Coast Ltd.
