Angling: Dillon takes top catch

THE Jarrow Alberta SAC held a club competition between Low Newton and Seahouses.

THE Jarrow Alberta SAC held a club competition between Low Newton and Seahouses.

Twenty-one rods fished and nine weighed in.

The winner, with two fish for 4lb 4oz from Beadnell Point, was Mickey Dillon.

Second was Lee Mains with one fish for 2lb 12oz. This was also the heaviest single fish.

Third was Andy Brotherton with two fish from Beadnell for 2lb 11oz.

In Amble SAC's competition, first was Jason French with four flounders for 2lb 2oz. Second was Jim French with one fish for 1lb 5oz.

Third was Shane Price with one fish for 12oz. Fourth was Gordon Holland with one fish for 8oz.

The club’s next competition is on Monday at Driftburn, fishing 6pm until 9pm.

Their next club meeting is on Thursday, July 7 (7.30) in the Radcliffe Club, Amble.
