NEWCASTLE made it eight goals in two home games, cruising to a five-goal FA Premier Academy League win over Huddersfield.
The Terriers hadn’t touched the ball when United scored straight from the kick-off, Alex Nicholson’s right-wing cross clinically finished by Phil Airey.
Ben Sayer headed a Jordan Sinnett inswinging corner off the line as Town regrouped but two goals – from Dan Taylor and Conor Newton – before the break put the game beyond the visitors.
The Magpies went on to dominate the second half creating a number of chances, and taking two through Taylor and Dennis Knight.
Sayer, Airey and Taylor had all gone close before Newton’s inside ball saw Taylor drill the ball home from edge of the box with a good finish before Knight shot into the top corner from 20 yards.
