NEWCASTLE United's under-18 side picked up their third FA Premier Academy League win of the season as they eased to victory over rock-bottom Leeds United at Little Benton.

Australian midfielder Brad Inman, out for almost two months due to injury, marked his return with a brace after Ryan McGorrigan had given United a 15th-minute lead.

McGorrigan shot across Leeds goalkeeper Deale Chamberlain following good work from Liam Henderson for the opener.

Dan Taylor then volleyed wide from eight yards, while Aidan White dragged his shot wide when left with only goalkeeper Ben Robinson to beat a minute before half-time.

It proved a costly miss as Newcastle doubled their lead two minutes into the second half when Bradman converted Taylor's headed flick on.

Central defender Jeff Henderson then hit the bar after 70 minutes before United wrapped up victory eight minutes later.

Breaking from a Leeds United corner, McGorrigan then threaded the ball between two defenders to put Inman clear for his second of the afternoon.
