Both goals came in a competitive first period, Stuart Banks opening the scoring for Nissan before Mark Minto – on his debut after his transfer from Whitley Bay – equalised.

Nissan had a chance to regain the lead on the hour but Andy Appleby’s penalty was saved by Allotment keeper Karl Dryden.

Leaders Billingham Synthonia stay top after a late show at Bishop Auckland who led through an own goal by David Abel. Simon Shaw levelled from the spot on 88 minutes but in stoppage time Tyson Masters fired home the winner.

Dunston Federation led 2-0 and 3-2 at home to Chester-le-Street before the Cestrians claimed a point late on. Michael Dixon, Mark O’Bern and Steven Pickering scored for the Fed before Andrew Armstrong hit two for the visitors for whom recent signing Wayne Gredziak netted his first for the club with 30 seconds left.

For the second time in four days, Consett went nap in a 5-2 win at Bedlington Terriers who led at half-time through Brian Dodsworth. Mattie Moffat levelled before two goals in five minutes from Adam Emson made it 3-1. Lee Ludlow cut the deficit before Gary Ormston and Jonjo Dickman took Consett’s tally to five.

Jamie Clarke scored twice in the opening half hour for Spennymoor who are fifth after defeating West Auckland 3-1 at the Brewery field. Gary Barnes pulled one back for West before Karl Richards clinched the points with a third for the Moors. Whitley Bay hit five at home to Morpeth Town. Craig McFarlane scored two with Chris Moore, Paul Chow and Lee Kerr also on target. Paul Wilary replied twice for Morpeth.

Michael Chilton scored a hat-trick in Newcastle Benfield’s 4-2 win at Ryton. Mark Atkinson added the fourth with Marc Walton twice on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Ashington scored four in the first half against visitors Tow Law Town through Alan Hogg (2), Ross Atkinson and Gareth Bainbridge before substitute Luke Sullivan scored a consolation near the end.

Warren Byrne hit two for Shildon who drew 2-2 with Billingham Town. David Turner and John Alexander got the goals for the Town. Steven Roberts and Scott McNichol netted in the second half for Northallerton who won 2-0 at Seaham Red Star.

In division two, David Myers was the sole marksman for Hebburn who toppled leaders Whitehaven 1-0 while the chasing pack of Norton and Stockton Ancients, Horden, Esh Winning, Marske, Crook and Washington won.

Norton beat Stokesley 1-0 with a Neil Campbell own goal while Kevin Devine was Horden’s lone scorer at Prudhoe.

Esh Winning hit North Shields for six with Tony Hanson and Chris Smith both grabbing two with goals from David Lamb and Nicky Martin. Dean Nicholson was on target twice for the Shields.

Marske won 2-1 at home to Whickham who led through Josh Watson. Benn Thompson and Jonathan Newton netted for the Seasiders. Crook Town hit five at Brandon and Washington were 3-0 winners over Jarrow Roofing.

Team Northumbria won 4-1 at Thornaby while Sunderland RCA beat Guisborough 4-0.
