Autumn takes hold of the North East

The beauty of Autumn has been captured by photographers living across the North East

With temperatures starting to drop, the beauty of Autumn has been captured by photographers living across the North East.

Our photographer Simon Greener has been out capturing the beauty of the season on his camera along with Journal readers who have also been keen to share their pictures.

Leaves falling from trees has been a common sight to photograph while the riot of orange, red and brown colours in our parks and countryside has also impressed the amateur photographer’s eye.

From Jesmond Dene in Newcastle, to Ridley Park and parts of Northumberland, all areas of the region have been recorded this week’s fantastic Autumn sunlight.

The Journal has decided to share some of the very best pictures we have received.
