Proud parents Peter and Nina Watt are heading for tonight’s live Britain’s Got Talent show to cheer on their dancing daughter.

Karla Watt, 23, from Leazes Park, Hexham, Northumberland, is part of the burlesque dance group Crazy Rouge.

The troupe have the chance to go through to the final if they wow the judges.

And Peter, co-owner of an electronic business in Hexham, said dancing has always been in Karla’s blood.

“She started going to dance classes when she was three,” he said.

“She could hardly walk but she could dance and you could tell there was talent there from very early.

“Karla has danced all over the world and was in Blackpool with the Cannon and Ball Show last summer, and she has also performed in Slovenia and South Africa.

“I would like to think they will do well but they are up against some good competition.”

Peter, 47, runs BW Electronic Solutions while Nina, 45, is a receptionist at a local GP surgery.

They have been given two tickets for ringside seats at tonight’s show and will be hoping the group can emulate their success in the auditions.

The eight-strong team are dressed in nude illusion costumes and during the audition entered the stage to wolf whistles and cheers.

Putting a modern twist on classic French dance show Moulin Rouge, they dazzled the judges in a glamorous cabaret performance which Simon Cowell hailed worthy of Las Vegas.

Peter said: “All the judges said supportive things about the group.

“Simon Cowell said something about the performance being very Vegas and an old school spectacle.

“Amanda Holden called the girls “absolutely gorgeous” and David Walliams joked he thought Ant and Dec enjoyed the chat with the girls because of their costumes.”

Karla is a former pupil of Hexham’s Splitz and Terpsichore dance classes.

The group’s previous turn on Britain’s Got Talent saw them dancing to Escala’s classic “Feeling Good” in a routine that left Simon Cowell impressed.

The team were yesterday rehearsing for tonight’s show and posted messages of thanks to their fans on social media.

Crazy Rouge BGT@CrazyRougeUK said: “All this support is AMAZING! Keep it up guys!”

The dancers are from all over the UK and have sent temperatures soaring with their raunchy routine and scanty costumes.

They describe themselves as a French burlesque dance act and are accompanied by two topless hunks to get the female vote.

Karla yesterday retweeted a message from X Factor winner Shayne Ward.

It said: “Good luck to @CrazyRougeUk on BGT semi-final on Wednesday, everyone get voting for these ‘crazy’ dancers.”
