The touching story of teenagers from Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary's Teenage Cancer Trust unit who were given the chance of a lifetime to film a major concert is to be highlighted on Tyne Tees Television tomorrow.

John Anderson from Fishburn near Stockton, Jenni Craney and Jordan Thompson from Newcastle, Joe Dorey and Daniel Finn both from Whitley Bay and Stuart Simpson from Crawcrook - were given exclusive access to film the performers both on stage and behind the scenes. Their work is charted in Against the Odds (ITV Tyne Tees tomorrow at 6.05pm).

In September, The Sage Gateshead hosted Bandstand with big names including Jools Holland, Paul Weller, Johnny Vegas and Ross Noble giving their time for free to raise funds for the new RVI unit for teenagers.
