Historian Dr Ian Roberts, is Chairman of the Bellingham Heritage Centre, will address the group on Wednesday (7.15pm), at the Parish Hall, St Helen's Street, Corbridge.

THE Wansbeck Care Home Easter Fair is this Saturday next door to the Foresters Pub at West Sleekburn. All money raised goes to the residents' funds.

Tickets in store

BUS passengers in the North-East will soon be able to pick up tickets at the same time as their shopping. From Sunday, seven and 28-day regionwide and Tyne and Wear Go'n'Save tickets will be available from PayPoint agents throughout the region. The facilities, normally for paying household bills, mobile top-ups and TV licences, are at 450 shops.

FORMER Cramlington High School student Kirsty McDowell, 18, is celebrating after graduating from the second stage of training as a warfare specialist with the Royal Navy at HMS Collingwood in Portsmouth. She will join the Type-22 frigate HMS Cornwall.
