Officials from the Northumberland Tourism organisation are holding a series of roadshows for holiday businesses in the county to explain more about its work.

They are on Monday, June 19 at the Tankerville Arms Hotel in Wooler (2pm to 4pm), Wednesday 21 at Linden Hall Hotel near Longhorsley (2pm to 4pm), Thursday 22 at the Beaumont Hotel, Hexham (11.45am to 2pm) and on Friday 23 at Otterburn Tower Hotel (2pm to 4pm).

Pub exhibition

AN exhibition of paintings of Newcastle scenes and traditional Tyneside pubs is to be held at a popular pub.

The Cluny pub and gallery in Byker, Newcastle, is holding the exhibition by Arthur Gills, of Walker, Newcastle, from September 1 for one month. The free exhibition will include paintings of railway scenes, trams, buses and landscapes.
