It will be held in the Watch House, North Gate, Blyth Harbour at 7pm on Wednesday March 21.

St Patrick's CD

YOUNG folk musicians are being given the chance to showcase their talents by broadcasting traditional Irish music at Metro stations, from a special CD recorded for St Patrick's Day.

The musicians, students from Newcastle University's folk and traditional music degree course, have recorded eight Irish songs, which Metro passengers will hear at stations on Saturday, March 17.

NEW visitor figures have revealed the success of an exhibition of work by landscape photographer Joe Cornish at Hartlepool Art Gallery. Almost 12,000 people visited the gallery during the exhibition, which ran from January 6 to February 18.

GATESHEAD crime prevention officers PCs John Marsden and Geoff Robson will be in a booth on the first floor outside Woolworths, Town Square 2, the MetroCentre, from 9am to 5pm today[sat mar 10] and tomorrow from 11am to 4pm tomorrow. They will give advice on how to protect homes, cars, and businesses and on personal safety.
