Footballer Peter Beardsley will join pupils at a Newcastle school to celebrate the opening of two new pools on Friday.
At 11am, the Newcastle and England legend will officially open the new £1.5m swimming and therapy pools at Sir Charles Parsons School, in Walker.
The school is special school for pupils aged 11 to 19 with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
