Two designs have been prepared for a marina near the mouth of the River Tweed in Berwick. A 200-berth £5m-plus marina is the preferred option of Berwick Harbour Commission.
Berwick Borough Council revealed it has now had preliminary discussions with the Government Office North East on the project.

A concert of African music is supporting relief and development projects to help children.
The African Children's Choir has raised significant sums for emergency relief and development programmes in Sudan and Rwanda, and is working to help orphaned children in South Africa who are battling starvation and disease.
