Northumbria police have this afternoon found missing Longhorsely man Matt Adams in the Tritlington area near Morpeth

Northumbria police have this afternoon found missing Longhorsely man Matt Adams in the Tritlington area near Morpeth.

The 34-year-old is suffering from minor cuts and bruises and has been taken to Wansbeck District General Hospital to be checked.

The media and public are thanked for their assistance.

Earlier today the partner of Matt Adams begged him to come home.

 

Fiona Leighton reported him missing to police and today she pleaded with him to get in touch.

Fiona said: "Matt, we all love you and miss you very much.

"Please get in touch and let us know you're safe and please come home."

Matt, from, Drummonds Close in  Longhorsley was reported missing having last been seen at 10.45am on Tuesday.

Searches, involving Northumbria Police dog handlers, mounted officers, and mountain rescue volunteers got under way yesterday.

A mobile police unit was set up in Longhorsley village centre.
