RESIDENTS living near the site of a proposed wind farm in Northumberland have formed a committee to fight it.
As previously reported by The Journal, wind developer Air Farmers Ltd is planning to erect 16 turbines at Middleton Burn, near Belford.
The Middleton Burn Action Group has been formed to oppose the scheme and at its first annual general meeting on Friday night, a committee was elected.
The committee is being headed up by Belford resident Chris Craddock, who was appointed chairman.
He added: “We are now in a position of preparing to take on the developers and oppose their development.”
The action group now has over 300 members, many of whom joined on Friday night.
