Illumination treatment for attractions

Buildings in Blyth Valley town centre will be lit up from 5pm on Guy Fawkes' night and later in the evening the wind turbines on the sea front will receive the same treatment.

Leaplish Waterside Park in the Kielder Forest will become a winter wonderland during November and December.

It will be the venue for a lighting show at around 5pm on each Saturday and Sunday from November 18 until December 17, and then daily from December 18 to 23.

Simonside Crag in the Simonside Hills near Rothbury will be seen for miles around when it is lit up on December 2 and 3 and the following weekend.

A one-hour long organised walk will allow visitors to see the effects close up.

Bamburgh Castle on the North Northumberland coast will be the last to be lit up. It will be shining at night each weekend in December.
