Now human resources staff have been sent out to calm them down. A senior NCO called it "another kick in the teeth".

Their commander said the error had been "absolutely devastating to morale" ... The marines concerned are facing bullets in the notorious Helmand province.

Will any of the civil servants who made this slip be facing the sack?
