Free art and drama workshops for young people aged eight to 18 are being held in Blyth this month in a partnership project involving the Dreaming Egg Theatre Company and Blyth Valley Council.

Free art and drama workshops for young people aged eight to 18 are being held in Blyth this month in a partnership project involving the Dreaming Egg Theatre Company and Blyth Valley Council.

They will be in the Isabella Centre on March 17 and the Buffalo Centre on March 24. Workshops run from 10am to 3pm and places can be booked by calling Clare Wood on (01670) 542311.

Global cookery

PUPILS from four European countries visited St Bede's Catholic Secondary School and Sixth Form College in Lanchester, County Durham, this week to take part in an international cookery competition.

Staff and students from schools in Poland, France, Spain and Italy also combined to produce an international buffet.

TIDES and Time are family fun days today and tomorrow at Bede's World, Jarrow, as part of National Science Week.

Organised by Newcastle University post graduate students, these are opportunities to learn more about Bede's scientific discoveries.
