MARKS & Spencer is introducing an exciting new brand to its womenswear collections for the new season.

The Indigo Collection is a coordinated casual wear range aimed at women in their mid thirties who are looking for stylish, confident, feminine pieces that offer high quality with great cut and fit.

The fashion chain is aiming to offer customers a collection that has a relaxed, casual aesthetic with a stylish and modern handwriting.

The range offers edited key pieces that will be easy for customers to shop from, whether they want to outfit build or add to their wardrobe.

It includes easy-to-wear casual key pieces that have strong attention to detail in great fabrics and an on-trend colour palette, offering the perfect outfit solutions to compliment the modern woman’s busy lifestyle.

Denim will be essential to the brand; whether it’s used in jeans, dresses, skirts or jackets it will form the foundation to many statement Indigo Collection outfits.

To celebrate the launch, M&S model and style expert Myleene Klass is touring the country in a camper van promoting Indigo and carrying out style makeovers with her team in some of M&S’s top stores.

She will visit the M&S store in Northumberland Street, Newcastle, on Wednesday, September 16 to meet shoppers and show off the collection.

We put some questions to Myleene about the range:

What are your must-haves in the Indigo collection and why?
Tartan ruffle dress, jersey biker jacket, tartan shirt, purple mac, boyfriend jeans and denim dress. I like the fact that it works for all ages and that is what M&S is all about.

Are you looking forward to the Indigo roadshow?
I’m really looking forward to it, I love meeting people, its great to get some feedback and the camper van is so much fun.

What are your top five styling tips for the Indigo Collection?
Layer alternatives to suit your shape, add a scarf for a pop of colour, be casual but still feminine, buy staple pieces and add from the collection.

Where do you get your style inspiration from?
Mainly from the catwalk, and my daughter has a great eye for mix and match. I do not really tend to follow trends, I just wear what works for me.

Indigo Collection is perfect for the weekend. What is your favourite thing to do at the weekend?
Spending time with my family and daughter. I like casual and relaxed weekends. Indigo is just right for me to wear at the weekend.
