The newly-restored cascades at the National Trust's Cragside property in Rothbury will be flowing again from tomorrow and over the weekend, each day from 2pm-4pm.
The cascades were officially opened in July but, due to the warm weather and lack of water, had to be temporarily closed.
The lake which supplies the cascades has now filled and the water will be flowing again for the first time in nearly 90 years.
They will also operate from October 20-29 except Monday when the property is closed.
THE number of services available on the South Tyneside Council website will be increased, council chiefs have announced. More than 130 council services are already online, including planning applications, school admissions and payment facilities.
Plan on hold
A SUGGESTION that Berwick Borough Council should contribute £3,500 towards the cost of preparing a business plan for the development of Shielfield Park sports stadium has been put on hold. Councillors are calling for a detailed report before making a decision on the recommendation from the policy committee.
