Boyzone are to take to the stage this summer for a concert at the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground in Chester-le-Street.

Stars Ronan, Keith, Shane and Mikey will be performing their famous hits at the Ashes venue on the June 7 – with tickets going on sale tomorrow.

“We love the chance to play outdoors through the summer so I’m looking forward to a great night in Durham,” said Ronan.

In recent years the County Durham cricket ground has welcomed an array of stars including Tom Jones, Jessy J and the Big Reunion concerts.

“Boyzone are a great band to work with and have a fantastic new live show planned for this summer,” said promoter Liz Doogan Hobbs.

“We are very excited to be bringing them to Emirates Durham.

“We are looking forward to a great atmosphere again at the club.”

Formed more than 20 years ago Boyzone have released 21 singles and seven albums, and chalking up 25 million record sales with singles including Love Me For A Reason, Father and Son and Picture of You.

Other hits included Words, A Different Beat, All That I Need, No Matter What, When The Going Gets Tough and You Needed Me.

Tickets, priced £37.50, will go on sale on the www.ticketmaster.co.uk website from tomorrow morning at 9am.
