Clinique's Summer Highlights Collection is full of bare, bronzy hues to `sun-kiss' the face and leave it glowing. Almost Makeup with an SPF15 reveals the skin rather than covers it, £17.50; Shimmering Tones Powder, £23, in four shades creates a healthy sheen; Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine, £12, promises to `make even the most modest lips appear fuller'; but it's the Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator, £17.50, that deserves special mention. Our tester says: "It's a sheer liquid highlighter which you can dot on the cheekbones and brow which almost lights up the face and makes it glow: perfect for a healthy look. I was asked if I'd been on holiday when I wore it." Available at Clinique counters at Fenwick, John Lewis, Boots, House of Fraser and Debenhams.
New Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Nourishing Glow has had its five minutes of fame recently. It received the highest mark, 9/10, from the viewer panel testing gradual tanners on ITV's This Morning programme. It was praised for its effect on the palest of skins and is available in two `strengths' - Normal to Fair and Normal to Dark. It's a super hydrating cream so there's no need to re-apply for 24 hours yet it is light and non-greasy so you can get dressed while it works. You can easily build the colour and therefore control the colour intensity. It's £4.99 from Boots, Superdrug and Sainsbury's.
