TV favourites Ant and Dec are bringing their hit Takeaway show on an arena tour with three shows in Newcastle.
The Geordie duo will be at the Metro Radio Arena on September 5 and 6 next year with tickets on sale from next Friday.
Ant and Dec’s Takeaway On Tour! will see the pair embark on their first ever series of arena gigs.
The 16-date tour will start in Cardiff on and take in cities Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester and Newcastle before climaxing at the O2 and at Wembley Arena in London.
The Newcastle dates will come on the evening of September 5 at the Metro Radio Arena followed by a matinee and second evening show the following day.
They said: “Takeaway is the one show that people always tell us they’d love to be in the audience for, so we’ve decided to take the show to them!
“Just like the TV show the audience will have a chance of winning some fantastic prizes as well as being an essential part of the show.
“It’s been an ambition of ours for a long time to go on tour and we can’t wait to hit the road.”
The show will be packed with special guests, amazing prizes to be won and surprises for the audience.
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is produced by ITV Studios and was launched on ITV in 2002 with a whole host of crazy pranks, mind-boggling challenges and fantastic competitions.
After a break in 2010 the show returned for its 10th series this year to hit ratings and accolade with over 8 million people tuning in each week.
The dates will be their first gigs at the arena.
The venue’s general manager Paul Tappenden said: “It’s great to have true Geordie heroes coming to their home city’s premier venue.
“Saturday Night Takeaway is a huge TV hit and family favourite and it will be exciting to see it transformed into an arena setting.
“We can’t wait to welcome Ant and Dec back to the Toon.”
Tickets will be on general sale online from 9 am on November 8.
