A woman was airlifted to hospital after a car crash which left four people injured.
The smash happened near Birtree Caravan Park, Birtree, near Darlington at 10.41am on Sunday.
When fire crews arrived one woman and a girl had been taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital. They then used cutting equipment to release another man and a woman, who was taken to North Tees Hospital by helicopter.
POLICE have appealed for information about a man who has been missing for over a week.
Steve Skinner, 36, from Gosforth, Newcastle, disappeared from his home on Thursday, July 28. He is 5ft 10in, bald and was wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket. He is known to visit the Ashington area. Anyone who may have seen Mr Skinner is asked to call (0191) 214-6555, ext 62926.

A NEW business centre is being planned for the town centre in Berwick.
Northumberland County Council is applying to the Borough Council for planning permission to create the facility, which will include a number of units for small start-up businesses in Boarding School Yard between Marygate and Walkergate.
The development, which is seen as a key initiative in the economic regeneration plan for the area, is likely to cost well over £1m.
A NURSING home in Berwickshire is to close because of a decline in the number of residents.
Sheiling Nursing Home, Coldingham, will close within three months due to the expense of the operation.
Discussions are being held with Scottish Borders Council to find suitable alternative accommodation for the residents.
