SHOCK tactics have been used to give pupils at a Northumberland school life-saving lessons as part of a new hard-hitting electricity safety campaign touring the North East.

SHOCK tactics have been used to give pupils at a Northumberland school life-saving lessons as part of a new hard-hitting electricity safety campaign touring the North East.

“Stay Away, Stay Alive” was the message being spread to Prudhoe West First School’s pupils, aged four to nine, by the region’s electricity distribution company CE Electric UK.

Bob Knox, an electricity safety specialist at CE Electric UK, said: “The safety of the public is our number one priority and that’s why it’s so important that we take these potentially life-saving safety messages to schools across our network area.“
