A NAME the ospreys competition is offering a special prize to the winning youngster.

The three young ospreys are growing fast in their tree-top nest at Kielder Water and Forest Park in Northumberland and are exercising their wings.

They will soon take their first flight and enter the record books as only the second osprey brood ever raised in the North East.

Now the Kielder Partnership is asking youngsters to suggest names for
the three chicks, with the winner and guardian being offered a unique chance to join the party which will ring the birds.

To enter visit info@kielderpartnership.co.uk with 'Osprey naming competition' in the subject line.

Include the child's full name, parent's full name, postal address, email address and telephone number. The closing date is July 6.
