A NEW regional director has been appointed at the Countryside Alliance campaign group.
Simon Hamlyn started work at the organisation this week and represents Durham and Northumberland.
Simon joins the Countryside Alliance having spent the previous 10 years working for the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) where he was involved in many aspects of rural pursuits.
Simon said: “I am very much looking forward to meeting and working with as many members and supporters as possible. I am here to represent them, their views and to ensure a strong voice for the wide range of issues currently affecting the countryside.”
