LOCAL food and crafts were showcased at a village festival yesterday.
More than 60 stalls were open at the fourth Rothbury Food and Craft Festival, held in the Northumberland village.
Specialities on offer included a variety of cakes, bread, artisan confectionery, preserves, puddings, pies, olives, meat, fresh fish, cheeses, oils and dressings.
Crafts ranged from wood-turned products, soaps, handmade bags, jewellery and jewellery boxes and candles.
There were also cookery demonstrations by chef David Harris and hardy perennials, basket, container and bedding plants on sale.
The event was launched in 2008 by a group of local food producers and has seen thousands of food lovers flock to the picturesque Coquet Valley community.
