The Echo 24 development in Sunderland has unveiled the interior designer tasked with creating its two show apartments set to open in March.

Sarah Jobling, 37, was chosen from a long list of experienced design teams to produce two sumptuously designed show apartments.

Sarah was recently appointed as sales manager for Glenrose Developments, one of the joint venture partners in the Echo 24 development along with Tolent Construction.

Sarah commented: "Interior design has always been a real passion for me, having studied design in the past and worked in an interiors retail outlet for a number of years.

"With its premium location on the banks of the River Wear, Echo 24's strong links to the surrounding area ensured that finding inspiration was easy. In keeping with the building's heavy use of glass and steel - which harks back to the city's rich glass heritage - I have ensured that all the products I will be using are sourced locally, and reflect the luxury inherent in city centre living."

The two-bedroom show apartments will have two different colour schemes designed to cater for the cross section of buyers at Echo 24. The first show apartment will incorporate a fresh turquoise and cream scheme, while the second will enjoy black and gold colourways.

Michael Orr, commercial director at Glenrose developments, said: "Echo 24 is set to become the jewel in the crown of Sunderland's regeneration and consequently it is imperative that the show apartment exudes modern luxury and a sense of style."

The 179 one- and two-bedroom apartments, are priced from £194,950. Tel: 0870 910-1201.
