The Late Shows shone a glowstick on Tyneside's cultural attractions

The annual after hours gatherings took place across 50 venues in Newcastle and Gateshead to the delight of thousands of visitors

Linking key venues was a free open-top bus so that those with a to-do list could squeeze in as many places as possible.

Anyone with a head for heights got the chance to see a different perspective of the city from the roof of Newcastle Keep or the top of the tower at St Nicholas Cathedral, while more down-to-earth activities included enjoying a bit of ¡VAMOS! festival fever at Shipley Art Gallery or open-air bread-making at the 700-year-old Holy Jesus Hospital.

After all that came the Late Late Shows for anyone wanting to continue the party at hot-spots such as Live Theatre and World Headquarters.
