A riotous return for the Chiefs

PREDICT a riot at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena later this year.

Kaiser Chiefs have announced their first gig at the venue, with tickets on sale from 9am Friday.

The band will perform at the Arena on December 10, having last played the city in February this year, at the Carling Academy.

Armed with a slew of festival appearances under their collective belt and following a triumphant return to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury last weekend, it is perfect timing for the Chiefs to announce a tour.

They have quickly established themselves as one of the biggest bands in the country, following their smash-hit I Predict A Riot.

The December date will round things off in 2007 for their second album Yoursy, Angry Mob, which is about to sell its millionth copy worldwide.

Tickets are on general sale from all usual outlets but there is an exclusive pre-sale via the tickets page on www.kaiserchiefs.co.uk.

Support on all dates comes from We Are Scientists and The Little Ones.
