An intimate evening filled with a quarter of a century’s worth of hit records is on the cards for the region’s Texas fans next year.

Sharleen Spiteri and her bandmates have booked a date at Sage Gateshead in April, 2015, in celebration of 25 years of Texas.

Promising “the best of the Texas songbook”, the much-loved Scottish pop-rock outfit will be performing more hits than we have room to mention from their multi-million-selling back catalogue including Say What You Want, In Demand, Summer Son, Black Eyed Boy, Inner Smile the song that got everyone’s attention all those years ago, I Don’t Want A Lover, among many others.

Not only that, but this is a gig with benefits. Sharleen - known as one of the UK’s greatest frontwomen - will also be sharing stories and anecdotes from the band’s time together.

Tickets for the Sage Gateshead gig on April 27, will go on sale on Friday, September 12. Call 0191 443 4661 or visit www.sagegateshead.com to book.
