Bryan Adams will be waking up the neighbours in Tyneside later in the year.
The veteran rockstar is plugging himself – and a full band – in once again and will bring his Reckless 30th anniversary tour to the Metro Radio Arena on November 16.
Celebrating three decades since the release of the album which became a huge international hit for the Canadian musician, the gig will doubtless put some of his best-known tracks front and centre.
Reckless, his fourth studio long player, sold 12 million copies worldwide and spawned half a dozen singles – many of which have remained as classics in his back catalogue, including Run To You, Somebody, Heaven, Summer of ’69, One Night Love Affair and It’s Only Love.
The album was named the 99th Greatest Rock Album of All Time by Classic Rock.
Paul Tappenden, general manager at the Arena, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bryan back to the North East. His shows are second to none ,and looking back at the iconic Reckless album guarantees another electrifying performance.”
Bryan’s last headline tour took place in 2011 in honour of the 20th anniversary of his Waking Up The Neighbours album – well, when you’ve been in the business of producing top-notch music for that long, the birthdays just keep-a-coming.
And it’s a knocking bet that he’ll be weaving in hits from his whole career throughout the concert, although we’d sadly be very surprised if Tina Turner rocked up to reprise their legendary duet, It’s Only Love.
Still, you never know.
Tickets for Bryan Adams’ gig at the Metro Radio Arena on November 16 go on sale on Friday at 9am.
