Renowned North East chef Terry Laybourne will be hosting a series of cookery demonstrations on Easter Saturday in Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade to mark the opening of a new homeware store.
Pol Kefton Home will be opened by Terry at 11am on April 4 before he launches into the cooking demos being held in a special pop-up kitchen in the arcade’s piazza area.
To celebrate its opening, the homeware store is also sponsoring a day of other foodie themed Easter events in the arcade, including cupcake workshops for younger visitors, and an egg hunt.
The fun starts at 10am and Terry will be cooking a selection of fabulous recipes from 12pm.
The arcade event coincides with Morpeth Farmers’ Market, which is held in the Market Place on the first Saturday of every month between 9am-2pm, and in celebration of Easter will be featuring chicks and rabbits for younger shoppers to see.
Sanderson Arcade centre manager, Medi Parry, says: “We’re really making Easter Saturday a very special event here at the arcade and we’re looking forward to welcoming Terry Laybourne to the centre to open the brand new Pol Kefton Home store.”
Managing Director at Pol Kefton, Christopher Stocks, adds: “This is a really exciting new venture for us and it’s fantastic to have Terry Laybourne joining us on Easter Saturday to launch our new store.”
