The newly launched Jesmond Food Market returns on Saturday, May 16.

Taking place on the historic Armstrong Bridge between 10am-3pm, last month’s inaugural event organised by Food Newcastle, Jesmond Residents’ Association and local foodie, Anna Hedworth, was so busy that more artisan food stalls have already been added to the mix.

Stalls this time around will include Charlotte’s Butchery, North Chocolate, Di Meo’s Ice Cream, Longhorns BBQ, La Petit Creperie, Carruthers and Kent, Pizzette, Ouseburn Coffee Company, Papa Ganoush, Elodie’s Crepes, Go Local Food, Zen Baker, Northumberland Sausage Company, Emily’s Brownies, The Fudge Parlour, Yummy Things, Sugar Down Bakery, A Cut Above Meats, Northumbrian Preserves, Northumbrian Smokehouse, Wheatberry and Artisan Baking Community,

The organisers also promise a few extra surprises for visitors.

Anna says: “Come along, do your weekly shop, have lunch and meet friends for a coffee, all in a beautiful spot above Jesmond Dene.”

Going forward it is planned that the market will take place on the third Saturday of every month.
