The multi-award winning The Feathers Inn at Hedley on the Hill in Northumberand’s Tyne Valley has been named the County Dining Pub of the Year 2015 for the seventh time.

The venue has been picked out for special mention in the latest edition of the Good Pub Guide published this week.

The guide rates the very finest dining pubs across the UK and the awards celebrate the best of the best.

The Feathers Inn is run by husband and wife team Rhian and Helen Cradock, and has won a host of other top food and drink accolades over the past few years.

Chef Rhian says: “We are absolutely over the moon and thanks to our fantastic team, loyal customers and wonderful villagers. Being the heart of our village we aim to satisfy both discerning diners as well as people who have just popped in for a pint by keeping a good selection of real ales and interesting draught beers, smashing wines as well as delicious food.

“Hopefully we will win some more people over with this award too.

“It is essential to us that we maintain the highest standards in the kitchen as well as keeping our village folk as the focus of what we do. It’s due to their support that we have gone from strength to strength.”
