A food and craft market will be taking centre stage at Dalton Park this weekend.

The outlet shopping centre at Murton in County Durham regularly hosts these special markets featuring a selection of foods and crafts from local producers as well as products to try from further afield.

Among the food names who will be laying out their stalls this Saturday and Sunday will be Prince of Pies, Simply Cheescake, Blooms (jams and salts), Cupcake & Co, the Northumberland Sausage Company, Northumbrian Smokehouse and IK Fish.

The spring Food and Craft Market will run 10am-4pm on Saturday and 10.30am-4pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Vallum artisan food hub in the Tyne Valley in Northumberland, will be holding its monthly Sunday indoor market tomorrow.

Held on the second Sunday of every month, there will be a host of stalls for visitors to peruse. And the venue at the eastern gateway to Hadrian’s Wall at the aptly named East Wallhouses, also boasts a tearoom and restaurant as well as a play paddock and wildlife walks.

Stallholders will include The Chocolate Smiths, No Muu, Northumbrian Preserves, Northumberland Honey, the Speciality Coffee Company, Noisette Catering, Simply Cheescake, Hazel Gordon Cheese and Holly’s Kitchen.

The market will be on between 10.30am-4pm. For more information, visit www.vallumfarm.co.uk
