Cramlington will be holding its first ever local food festival on Saturday, July 19.

The Northumberland town’s Manor Walks shopping centre is playing host to the Cramlington Foodie Festival from 9.30am.

Many of Manor Walks’ restaurants will be cooking up summer classics between 11.30am-2.30pm on a special demonstration kitchen in the South Mall, and among the local producers taking part will be Heather Foggon of The Chirnells Farmhouse Kitchen, Gosforth-based Yummy Things which specialises in handmade jams and chutneys, the Northumberland Sausage Company, the Mad Jam Woman, cake and gateau maker Curiously Wicked, Coffee As You Like It and The Chocolate Smiths.

There will also be local produce from Asda and Sainsbury’s and summer flavours from Marks and Spencer’s Simply Food.
