Full of delicious treats and gourmet foods, hampers always make perfect gifts.

And who would say no to receiving one at Christmas?

Auckland Castle’s Library Tea Room has pulled together a range of extravagant pre-order and buy on the day hampers.

Each is packed in a keepsake box or basket and features a range of local and castle made foods and drink pulled together by head chef Luke Orwin and his team.

Prices depend on the choice of foods and drink you go for, but you can choose from jams, chutneys and ketchups made using produce from Auckland Castle’s kitchen garden as well as homemade biscuits, crackers, mince pies, cakes and fudge.

Beers are from Bishop Auckland-based brewery Black Paw and the special Library Tea Room Blend coffee is from Railtown of Darlington. There are loose leaf teas, cheeses and a range of champagne and Prosecco to choose from as well.

The Library Tea Room is also selling special gift boxes of homemade jams and chutneys at £7.50, tea and coffee hampers at £12 and castle made Christmas puddings, cake and mince pies. An iced and decorated cake costs £25 with six mince pies for £3.

To pre-order call the tea room on 01388 743 750.
