In news which will doubtless be music to the ears of One Direction fans all over the North East, a limited number of extra tickets have been put on sale for the band’s On The Road Again Tour 2015, which comes to the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle on October 25-27.

A four piece since the departure of Zayn Malik earlier this year, Harry Styles, Naill Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne will be spending three days and nights on Tyneside, following last year’s triumphant gig at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

The band kicked off the American leg of the tour on Thursday night in memorable fashion, with Harry taking quite the tumble from the stage during the concert at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.

A flurry of tweets followed - many of them marinated in sarcasm - using the hashtag #OhNoHarry.

Back to the tour though, and the Newcastle performances will offer the band’s North East army of fans the chance to hear songs from their biggest album yet, Four, live for the first time.

Let’s hope Harry can stay upright for the duration too.
