Peter Gabriel will bring his Back to Front Tour to Tyneside in December.

The former lead singer and flautist of Genesis, who was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has booked at date at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle on December 4.

The show will feature the original live band (namely bass-wizard Tony Levin, guitarist David Rhodes, keyboardist David Sancious and drummer Manu Katche) from his acclaimed and multi-platinum-selling 1986 solo album, So, which will be played in its entirety, featuring tracks like Sledgehammer, Red Rain, That Voice Again and In Your Eyes.

The setlist for the tour also dips into his wider back catalogue and has so far offered the singer songwriter the opportunity to play some new material for the first time.

Performances of songs Daddy Long Legs and Show Yourself (from the film Words with Gods) both featured during the 2013 dates and went down a treat by all accounts.

Newcastle audiences should expect to hear some even newer stuff when he comes here.

Tickets for the gig on December 4 go on sale on Friday, June 27 at 10am. To book call 0844 493 6666 or visit www.metroradioarena.co.uk
