Byker Grove: Win a pair of VIP tickets to anniversary event at the Tyneside Cinema

We're giving you the chance to share the room with cast and crew of the hit Newcastle BBC series 25 years on from its first episode

The cast and crew of Byker Grove are marking 25 years since the show first hit our screens with a special celebration at the Tyneside Cinema on Friday November 7 and we are giving you the chance to be there.

It’s staggering to think that the show which gave us such iconic moments as PJ getting blinded during a paint-ball match, Jemma Dobson being electrocuted and the Grove’s surrogate dad Geoff dying in a gas explosion was first broadcast a quarter of a century ago.

The show led to great things for the likes of Ant and Dec, Jill Halfpenny, Charlie Hunnam and Andrew Hayden-Smith, with many of its former stars expected to attend Byker Grove: All Grown Up? at the Tyneside next week along with producers Matthew Robinson and Ed Pugh.

For your chance to win a pair of VIP tickets for the event, email your answer to the question below along with your name, age, address and contact telephone number to sam.wonfor@ncjmedia.co.uk.

Question: Who was the longest serving Byker Grove character?

The closing date for entries is noon on November 5, 2014.

The winner will be picked at random on that date and offered the prize as stated. No cash alternative will be offered. The Editor’s decision is final. Usual Trinity Mirror competition rules apply, available on request or at www.thejournal.co.uk/legal .
