Hard to believe we know, but it has been three years since The Stand Newcastle opened.

Since then it has, and continues to welcome, top talent from the circuit such as Stewart Lee, Al Murray, John Bishop, Susan Calman and our very own Ross Noble and Sarah Millican.

To celebrate its third birthday, The Stand has programmed a jam-packed Novembers-worth of gigs from some of the circuit’s top names, including Irish comedian Dylan Moran who will perform the second of two shows at the High Bridge venue on Wednesday (Nov 5).

They have also teamed up with The Journal to offer one lucky reader a pretty special prize.

The winner of this competition will receive four lots of four tickets for any shows of their choice throughout November 2014 (no more than four tickets can be used for each show) as well as one meal for four in The Stand’s bistro, which is launching a brand new winter menu full warming winter grub.

The Stand manager Richy Freeman said: “We want to make November an amazing birthday party which everyone - audiences and acts - will never forget. So we’ve billed a month with some top shows and love the idea of taking care of the winner’s evening plans for a month.”

Question: Which birthday is The Stand Newcastle celebrating this month?

The closing date for entries is noon on November 4, 2014.

The winner will be picked at random on that date and offered the prize as stated. No cash alternative will be offered. The Editor’s decision is final. Usual Trinity Mirror competition rules apply, available on request or at www.thejournal.co.uk/legal .
