YOU’VE seen them shaking a leg on the telly – or trying to – and soon you will be able to see them doing the same in real life. Yes, Strictly Come Dancing Live hits the arena circuit again in January.
The tour starts in Birmingham and then comes to the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle from January 22-24 with three evening performances and a matinee on the 23rd.
Announced today as participants in the live show are TV actress Lisa Riley, Tracy Beaker star Dani Harmer and former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan. For Dani, it means a glittering return to the city in which Tracy Beaker Returns was filmed.
“I’m really thrilled to be part of the Strictly tour,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to bringing some of the glitz and glamour to the fans all over the country.
“The competition will be just as tough as it is on the TV so I hope to win plenty of votes from the arena audiences.”
Lisa said: “I’ve had an absolute ball on the show and the chance to carry on dancing, and in front of thousands of people, is too good to miss.”
Michael said: “Learning so many different dances has been a huge challenge for me but an amazing experience. I’m really looking forward to testing myself with the new routines we’ll be performing on the tour.”
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will also be hitting the road.
