A former professional football player has launched a training business to help aspiring soccer stars become the next World Cup stars.
One-time Newcastle United and Middlesbrough centre-half, Anthony Cole believes his soccer20skills.com player development coaching programme, which has already seen over 20 young players invited to continue with their development at professional clubs, can help them to fulfil their dreams.
The aim of the programme is to provide players of all abilities, both young and old, to understand the importance of game intelligence, whilst encouraging them to become better players.
With a global market and an estimated 750,000 youngsters in the UK alone, Cole believes the company, which was launched in 2010, is ready for the next stage of its growth strategy by launching a franchise operation. He expects first year turnover for his venture to reach £300,000 and hopes that will increase to over £1m within two to three years as the franchise operation grows.
He said: “The programme continues to grow from strength to strength and we have received very positive feedback from grassroots to professional clubs, coaches and players alike. Our focus for the next six to twelve months is to establish the franchise operation but we won’t stop there, we are already working behind the scenes to develop the next stage of the programme, which is the S20 app (analytical player programme) and is currently being used by clubs worldwide and as far as California.”
