Name: Sarah Hall
Company: Managing Director of Sarah Hall Consulting
Sector: Pr, Marketing and Communications
As a pr consultant and executive board member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) its perhaps to be expected that Sarah Hall makes full use of social media.
With well used accounts on Twitter, facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google +, Vimeo and Youtube to name a few she said she likes to practice what she preaches.
Without a doubt Sarah is passionate about social media and it is perhaps this enthusiastic use of the tools available which has won her Twitter feed, @hallmeister, a nomination in The Journal’s search for the Most Influential on Social Media.
Sarah said she makes it her priority to know what social media channels are out there and to use them to help her clients make the most informed decisions about what to sign up to. She highlights the importance of businesses making sure they are using the appropriate accounts to reach their target audience.
She said: “I am a strong believer that social media is a case of more quality than quantity. It is better to do one or two social media channels and to do them brilliantly.”
She said she uses her own social media accounts largely for market research and to monitor what people are saying about her and her clients.
She added: “My Twitter account is about building and maintaining my corporate reputation as a person and as a business. I love social media and Twitter is great for real time information and also to see what your peers are doing.”
